Do I need snow chains?
Guests who park at Bullocks flat are not required by National Parks to carry snow chains. If Parking at Bullocks flat you will be required to take the skitube (train) through the mountain to the resort. From the Perisher terminal a free shuttle bus will drive you to the bus stop directly opposite the lodge. The free shuttle is often running till after 6pm and later when night skiing is in action.
Ski Tube Timetable If you purchase lift tickets prior to coming, make sure you include ski tube access.
ON SNOW PARKING @ LODGE 21
Parking must be booked and chains are required to be carried for 2wd vehicles whilst inside the National Park. 4wd cars do not require snow chains. Road clearing crews patrol the roads during snowy periods, clearing the roads for drivers and often salting the roads to reduce ice. Once the temperature plummets ice forms on the roads and salting effects are reduced, and you will be required to fit chains.
What about meals?
Meals are served in the dining room twice a day. Enjoy bacon and eggs for brekky, or cereal, toast, coffee and juice. And for dinner you’ll be spoiled with a hot 3 course meal then a friendly chat around the fire.
Where do I store ski’s, boards, boots and jackets?
The Lodge 21 ski and drying room is located through the side entrance. All snow sports equipment can be stored in or around the racks in the ski room. The drying room is immediately next door to the ski room, with rails for hanging cold or snow covered jackets and pants, and racks for your boots. Using ski locks in any area accessed by everybody is recommended and can greatly reduce the chance of somebody accidentally taking the wrong equipment.
Storing snow riding equipment in the ski room for part of, or for the entire season is possible at an additional cost.
Where do I get a ticket to ride?
The ticket office is located directly across the road from Lodge 21, under the Smiggins Hotel, and right beside the lifts. What a great location.
